The CAT 2021 results have been released: The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2021 results were released today by IIM Ahmedabad. On November 28, 2021, the exam was held. The toppers list will be posted on the institute’s official website soon. Candidates who took the exam can check their results at, the official website.

A total of 9 candidates received a perfect score, all of whom are male students. A total of 19 contestants (all of them were men) scored in the 99.99 percentile. Seven of the 100 percentile scores have an engineering academic background, while two have a non-engineering academic background.

Out of the 2.30 lakh registered eligible students, almost 1.92 lakh took the exam. This year, the overall attendance was around 83 percent.

CAT 2021 was held in 438 exam centres across 156 Indian cities. The test lasted 120 minutes [160 minutes for people with disabilities (PwD) category candidates].

IIM Ahmedabad had previously issued the CAT 2021 answer key, with candidates having until December 11 to appeal to any of the answers. After evaluating the candidates’ representations, the final result will be announced. Only until December 31, 2022, is the CAT 2021 score valid.

How to get a copy of the CAT 2021 scorecard

Candidates can view their results on the official website by clicking on “CAT Result 2021” and then entering their application number and password in the candidate’s login box. On your screen, the CAT scoring will appear.

Apart from the IIMs, CAT results will be used by over 88 additional non-IIM universities for admission to their management programmes this year.

Candidates for the CAT are graded in percentiles rather than percentages. The candidate’s overall scaled score is the sum of his or her scaled scores in each of the three sections. The percentage of candidates who receive a scaled score less than or equal to the candidate’s scaled score is referred to as the percentile.

What happens after the result in CAT 2021?

The list of candidates who have been shortlisted for the next round of selection will be posted on the individual IIMs’ websites. Shortlisted candidates will receive interview letters directly from each IIM. An aptitude test, a group exercise, and an interview are usually included. The criteria for shortlisting vary by IIM, and can include all three or just one of them. The pandemic may have an impact on the interview rounds and other aspects of the process.

Reservations criteria in IIMs

According to government regulations, 15 percent of seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates, 7.5 percent for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates, 27 percent for Other Backward Classes candidates from the “Non-Creamy” layer (NC-OBC), up to 10% for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) candidates, and 5% for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwD) candidates across IIMs.

CAT Result 2021: There are no females in the top 28.

In the CAT 2021 results released today, 9 candidates received a perfect score of 100 percentile, while 19 others received a score of 99.99 percentile. There were no female candidates among the top scores. Only one female candidate received a perfect score of 99.98 percentile.
