Massive fire breaks out at Delhi’s Chandni chowk; no casualty reported

A big fire broke out early today near Chandni Chowk in Delhi, and 12 fire engines were rushed to the scene to put out the flames.

Around 4.45 a.m., a fire broke out in Lajpat Rai market, which is located just across from the Red Fort.

As fire fighters and local citizens attempted to extinguish the inferno, footage from the scene showed soaring flames engulfing shops. Later, images from the news agency ANI showed charred businesses and merchandise that had been burned to ash.

12 fire engines were dispatched to the scene to put out the flames.

At roughly 4.45 a.m., a fire broke out in the Lajpat Rai market, which is located just across from the Red Fort. Visuals from the scene showed a row of tiny businesses being demolished.

In a video taken on the spot, a line of tiny shops can be seen burning.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

As of now, no one has been injured in the fire. More information is awaited.
