Sahdev Dirdo, whose song ‘Bachpan ka Pyaar’ went viral on the internet and rocketed him to popularity overnight, was involved in an accident in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma region when the motorcycle he was riding pillion on slipped, according to police.
According to Sukma Superintendent of Police Sunil Sharma, the collision occurred at 6:30 p.m., and Sahdev Dirdo, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered head injuries, while the rider had minor bruising.
Mr Sharma said the youngster was transported to the district hospital and then transferred to the Jagdalpur Medical College hospital following basic treatment.
Sahdev Dirdo was sent from Sukma District Hospital to Medical College in Jagdalpur after obtaining first aid. Vineet Bandanwar, the district collector, and Sunil Sharma, the Superintendent of Police, both visited him at the hospital to see how he was doing. Doctors are keeping a close eye on his condition.
MLA Kawasi Lakhma of Konta has directed the district administration to provide Sahdev Dirdo with the best possible care.
According to an official statement, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel asked Mr Nandanwar to provide the boy with the best medical care possible as soon as possible.
Sahdev Dirdo, from the tribal-dominated and Naxal-infested Sukma district of the state, became an internet sensation earlier this year after a video of him singing “Bachpan ka Pyaar” in school uniform went viral. His instructor, according to reports, shot the footage in his classroom in 2019. He also featured along with rapper Badshah in a new version of the song, a video of which was released in August.
